The main house is upstairs based around a sunny terrace. The kitchen dinning room opens up on the terrace which has table chairs, sun umbrella and BBQ. The windows of the lounge open up onto the terrace, there is a flat screen television, DVD, Internet + free WiFi. Three bedrooms One double (140 cms) on the main level opposite the lounge and two others, one double (160 cms) and one with two singles (90 cms) each with a private staircase to next level. There is a bathroom with shower and washbasin and a separate WC. The house is independent and situated on a very quiet narrow street in the old picturesque part of the village behind the chateau integrated in its walls. You can reverse your car in for unloading/loading (access narrow) parking is in other areas nearby (100 to 200 meters max). This is a small village and the countryside is virtually on your doorstep in any direction, it is very calm.

You will be in beautiful countryside and will probably be wanting to benefit from this by walking, cycling or using your car. (there are some bikes in the barn you can borrow). The Minervois is a lovely area, very calm, not very touristic. World heritage sites of Carcassonne (30 km) and the Canal du Midi (5 km) are easily accessible as are many other beautiful old villages such as the ancient village of Minerve (on the list of most beautiful villages in France) 5 km) with its ramparts and amazing natural caves under the hillside. The town of Narbonne is very lovely and is also a gateway to the Mediterranean beaches if you want to make day trips. Other day trips can include the chateaux Cathares and fishing ports like Collioure, or the picturesque artist villages on the lagoon next to Narbonne like Bages or Peyriac de Mer. The multiple towers of the Chateau de Lastours is only half an hour or so away. The Minervois is becoming very well known for its lovely sun filled wines and you have some great vineyards just round the corner with the special Minervois La Livinière wines growing just up the road.

The wine growing area of the Minervois is situated in a triangle created by Béziers to the east, Carcassonne to the West and Narbonne to the south, just behind are the Black Mountains (Montagnes Noir). there is good access via the motorways with Narbonne and Lézignan-Corbières being the closest exits. We are well served by airports Toulouse, Carcassonne, Béziers_Cap d'Agde.
