Upstairs, the double-bedded room has an antique suite, TV, hairdryer, CD player, alarm-clock/radio and panoramic views over the loch. There’s an adjoining bathroom with over-bath shower, shaver point, towels, constant hot water and a selection of toiletries. Cot available. We provide bedlinen, towels, gas central heating and electricity. Outside there’s a patio, garden furniture and off-road parking. No smoking. Dogs welcome (sorry, one only). Our lodge is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Scotland. We’re on the Clyde Sea Lochs Trail, adjoining the Loch Lomond National Park, within an hour of Glasgow, Stirling Castle, the Trossachs, and Inveraray. The conservation village of Rhu is just over a mile away with two small shops, a pub, a hotel, and the prestigious Royal Northern Yacht Club. The Victorian waterside town of Helensburgh is 4 miles away and has 3 supermarkets, a variety of individual shops, resturants, coffee shops, golf, swimming, riding, walking, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh's masterpiece, The Hill House. In summer The Waverley, Britain's last ocean-going paddle steamer, calls in at Helensburgh Pier. Shandon Country Pursuits (horse-trekking, off-roading, archery, fishing) and the Clyde Submarine Base at Faslane are close by.

Take the A814 road from Helensburgh towards Garelochead for 4 miles. Pass through Rhu. In Shandon, take the Ardchapel turnoff (the turnoff after Queenspoint/Stuckenduff) then immediate left onto the slip road. It's the first house up the drive.
