The islands of Zanzibar (Unguja, Pemba and Mafia) are the ideal destination for a fascinating holiday in Africa. The main island Unguja, known as the Spice Island, stirs the imagination and conjures up images of magical Arabian nights, the scent of spices and the spirit of ages gone by. All famous attractions in Zanzibar are within 45 minutes drive from the Villa. Visit Joziani Forest, go snorkelling and diving or deep sea fishing, swim with the dolphins, enjoy lunch on a sandbank. Visit the spice farms and find your senses overwhelmed by exotic spices. Walking through the narrow streets in Stone Town (a Unesco World Heritage) will take you back in history and lead you to the market where local traders offer fresh fruit; fish and meat every day. Pay a visit to the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Africa House, the palaces built by the Sultans of Oman and Zanzibar and the slave market and caves, a memory of Zanzibar's bitter past. The rich cultural heritage, the spice farms, the labyrinth of the winding lanes of Stone Town and the joyfulness of the Zanzibari will leave a long lasting impression of holidays in paradise. We can organize all kinds of excursions on the island and on the mainland including safari's, Mount Kilimanjaro and the famous national parks like Serengetti and Selous are only a short flight away from Zanzibar.
